ER: What do you do?

EW: I am a designer/owner of my own art and apparel line called "Facade", but also an everyday learner - I love being educated and continuing the process of self-learning - currently working towards improving my skills in printmaking and events management.

ER: Why East Room?

EW: East Room is an eclectic mix of people, ideas, and space that inspires both in the physical and digital sphere. The natural lighting is so remarkable and the space and vibes never feel stuffy or overwhelming.

ER: What are three things you need to do your job?

EW: Three things I need to do my job: sketchbook, Photoshop, matcha green tea

ER: Do you feel like a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in your field?

EW: Definitely a freshman regardless of whatever stage I am in life - everything is always a growing process and you never really can anticipate the finish line because things are never static and forever evolving.

JF - A good night’s sleep, a positive mindset and a list of clients to service!

JF - ‘Make it Better’ – there is always room for improvement and growth. 2nd semester Junior.

PA: I own a metals distribution company that stocks, processes and distributes Copper, Brass and Aluminum Alloys to the Global industrial market.

ER: Why East Room?

PA: I enjoy engaging with creative and intelligent people and love the overall vibe of the place.

ER: What are three things you need to do your job?

PA: A comfortable atmosphere that inspires energy and my laptop.

ER: Do you feel like a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in your field?

PA: All of the above, you should never stop learning, sharing and accept at different times in your life others know more than you.

ER: What do you do?

RG: bricks+matter gets hired by retailers and malls when they really want to learn how to integrate digital and technology into their company and stores to change their relationships with shoppers. We reinvent. We drive innovation. We’re all about productive disruption. We usually end up helping retailers create new lines of business or new products from our work. I’m the nutty professor of the group - I dream up the "pile of crazy”

LF: And I’m the straight man of the group - I take the “pile of crazy” that comes out of my biz partner’s ahem…head… and make it work.

ER: Why East Room?

RG: I used to live in New York City and have an irrational, insatiable “thing” for it….it’s kinda sad really. The East Room reminded me of a mashup of my old Soho office, Soho House, The Ace Hotel and WeWork. It was an immediate irrational need to be here and they were nice enough to put up with me.

LF: Vespa parking everywhere ;-)…. More seriously…awesome space with the right kind of funky vibe, great location and not a single fluorescent light in sight. AND the patio.
